The Virginia Department of Education (VDOE), in collaboration with the Virginia Health and Medical Science Educators Association (VAHAMSEA) Professional Development Conference, is pleased to offer in-depth pre- and post-conference workshops, and a conference session as outlined in the chart below. The professional development will be held at the Great Wolf Lodge , Williamsburg, Virginia. Registration is required and teachers are encouraged to pre-register by June 20, 2018 using the links below.

There is no registration fee for the pre-conference workshops. The Stop the Bleed session is included with conference registration. A $35 fee for the post-conference workshop materials should be made payable to Virginia HOSA. The VDOE will provide workshop trainers and instructional materials. Participants are responsible for all meals, travel-related expenses, and lodging, if needed. This is an allowable expenditure of federal Perkins funds as long as it is included in the approved local plan.

Announcing the Pharmacy Technician Instructor Clinical Training Symposium

The Virginia Department of Education (VDOE), in collaboration with Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU), is pleased to offer the Pharmacy Technician Instructor Clinical Training, July 9-11, 2018, at VCU School of Pharmacy: The Symposium will provide training and instruction in the methods of teaching, labs, testing and evaluation, and other subject matter to meet requirements of the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education and national testing.
Online registration: is required and must be completed by June 9, 2018. There is no registration fee. The VDOE will provide the trainer and instructional resource materials. Participants are responsible for all meals, travel-related expenses, and lodging, if needed. This is an allowable expenditure of federal Perkins funds as long as it is included in the approved local career and technical education plan.
